the smell of lilacs lighting up the air, the fact that dusk occurs after i get out of work, the fact that no one came into work, heat radiating off of my legs because i haven't the foresight to use sunblock, and the first taste of aloe on my burning skin..yes indeed. here comes summer my friends.

...the pug was racing down the hill with all his might, tongue dripping with saliva as he gazed into the enormous salty sea. "it will be mine!" he thought, imagining himself paddling about, chasing seagulls across the sand, rolling in seaweed until he had become a living chia pet, "oh yes, it will be mine!"
the leash was taut, the small dog pulling with all it could muster, and the man came down. down he crashed rolling head over heels until his face collided with the unsuspecting asphalt.
the pug was free.
the man pretended no one had noticed.

you bet your sweet bippy i laughed.
