1. gorillaz: clint eastwood: though it isn't the specific song he requested, i always think back to that crazy man from the warped tour 01, who was running around in only tighty whiteys and a sparkly silver mask. it had rained that year, and rained hard. thus the lot was a pile of slop and we all moved at the speed of ants. anyway we were bustin the album in the car like badasses and we saw the crazy from a far. and then said crazy came a running. we tried in vain to role up the windows, but alas, the windows of my car roll up even slower than we were moving. and the crazy yelled hey!! play number #10! (cause he wanted to dance) but that wasn't the right one, so we had to keep sifting through the songs while he awkwardly waited next to the car until finding m1a1, and with hello...... hellloooo.. he started rockin like there was no tomorrow.
2. modestmouse: float on: forevermore i am immediately transported to the first time i heard this song at a drunken dance party in a wee little room in seattle. love. it.
3. kci & jojo:all my life: or whatever the fuck it's called. all those junior high dances where i decided i "had to pee" and hid in the bathroom until it was over for i had noone to dance with. (no worries my friends were losers too so i wasn't all alone)
4. anything by ace of base: my fifth grade birthday party where i received their cd (my first ever) as a gift from my parents along with a boom box. i also received a dollop of ranch dressing in my sleeping bag. lovely.
5. oasis:don't look back in anger: though i don't really like them, this one take me back to a couple of rock out sessions with my friends were in we guitared it up and sang along joyfully. ah friends.
6. weezer:island in the sun: dancing with lynda reed and jessi whilst camping.
7. the beatles:hey jude: always visualize the opening sequence in the royal tenenbaums. well at least i always have since the first time i ever saw that movie because i love it.
8. lipps inc:funky town: driving home from somewhere and singing it at the top of my lungs with my parents while we danced to it on the radio. (this was in high school haha)
9. radiohead:fake plastic trees: the first time i ever saw the video/heard the song, saw it on m2 and couldn't breath for the next 4 minutes. of course they followed it with all their other amazing videos and the documentary "meeting people is easy" and from then on i've loved nothing more.
10. radiohead:ok computer: the entire album takes me to this one summer when i first got it (99?) and listening to it while camping and road tripping across country. sitting backwards in the backseat of a giant van and watching the cars in the sunset behind me with nothing but exit music in my ears. now there's some spiritual awakening.
11. travis: the man who: also the whole album. though not as life altering, listened to it on the way to see them at the ogden. the kind of day in november where it's rainy, but you can't see anything but white in the sky. we were eating some weird peanut butter chex mix and drinking lemon iced tea and for some reason it tasted of perfection. always have to listen to that one when the weather turns its way.
12. radiohead:no surprises: august 26th of 2003 where it became my new favorite live song.
13. pixies:bone machine: when those fuckers busted it out on us at coachella and me myself and i busted into a veritable frenzy. it was their first tune.
14. weezer:only in dreams: used it in an encore nov 00, one of the most beautiful things i've ever heard. they haven't played it live for me since. bastards.
15. doves:there goes the fear: that horrible summer where i worked at the most ghetto gokart place in all the land, but i got to watch some of the most gorgeous sunsets, and an especially spectacular one while i heard this song running through my head.
16. joy division: (jessi help me out here): the first song i ever heard in seattle, after jessi attacked me once off the plane and shoving her headphones to my ears. i was exuberant.

if i was better at remembering song names this could be longer, and if i remember anymore, i'll add to it.

from today there are exactly 23 days left until la mamacita loca turns 21. that is not to long at all. the computer had/has a virus so its usage is slim to nil. the accupuncture cures me of my calcium allergy. there will be no osteoporosis in dis hizzouse. take that rest of family. glad it seems to be working the second time around for last time the face burned with fire and we had to itch it. off to see the world for we have been holed up in the basement since yesterday afternoon so as not to touch calcium of any form. ah delicious freedom.
